Outdoor Portraiture – Yusrina

Hello everybody.

Yesterday I had an opportunity to shoot an outdoor portraiture of Yusrina, my colleague. I just realized how difficult to conduct or direct a model. It could be easier with family members and friends but when you are dealing with a total stranger, it would create an awkward kind of feeling. Even Yusrina was a bit shy at first when I asked her to pose for me. From there, I learned that it is very important to keep the communication between you and your model constantly so that he or she feels comfortable being in front of your camera.

I reckon yesterday was also the best day so far in year 2009. The weather was perfect. It was very warm and the sun shined brightly. It was almost like a summer. If only I could go to another places to find more spots for photos, it would be more interesting. We had this photoshoot during lunch hour & after work so, it was a bit rushing. Nevertheless, I’m glad because the photos turned out quite nice.

I will be continuing shooting weddings, outdoor portraiture, lifestyle and many more when I come home sometime in May this year.
