It was my sister’s birthday celebration and I thought a quick session might be a good idea. I wish all of us was here and it would have been more fun.

Want to be in front of my camera? Drop me a line!

Mixed Film Stock

f1 f2 f3 f4

So I tested out a few film stocks just for fun. Top diptych was shot with Fuji Pro 400H, second and last were taken with Kodak Portra 400, third diptych was shot with expired Centuria 100. I think I’m going to stick with Kodak Portra 400 for a while and see how it goes. Love the colour rendition and fine grain produced by the film. All shots were taken with Contax 645.

PS: Can’t wait to blog about my trip to Sydney, Australia.

Nature on Film

n1 n2 n3 n4 n5 n6 n7

I know shooting nature is not as impressive as shooting human being but it’s good for your eyes. Your practice should not be limited to only human subject. It should involves every single thing. This way, you will sharpen your eyes no matter what subject is in front of you.

To be honest, nature is not my favourite but I photograph it anyway. Why? Because it’s part of eyes sharpening. Therefore, go out there and explore something beyond your desired subject.

This set was shot on Kodak Ultramax 400 with Nikon F6.

Parenthood, Friendship & Precious

This is how I normally occupy my weekend. Spend some quality time with my loved ones (if there is no assignment). Sometimes I bump into parents slash friends, friendly strangers, etc. Great company, great time.

Chillin’ at Taman Rimba TTDI

d1 d2 d3 d4

I actually have more photos to share but the other roll has not yet developed and scanned. Will post it in the next entry. Just chillin’ out with friends on Sunday evening. Beautiful light, beautiful day.

Shot on Nikon F6 + Fuji Superia Xtra 400.

Forever Love

c1 c2 c3

I think my love-hate relationship with Contax 645 is getting better and better. My first 10 rolls were horrible. 80% of my photographs were out of focus. Probably not used to manual focus and lack of ability to judge which part is in or out of focus but like the say, practice makes perfect. The more you shoot, the better you become.

Basically, there’s no way you can become better than yesterday but to constantly go out and shoot. That way you will gain the ability to understand your camera better, composition, exposure and many other things. So, don’t just sit and wait for the photographs to amaze you. Go create one!

PCB Resort, Kelantan

p1 p2 p3 p4 p5 p7 p8 p9 p6

A few changes since my last visit to PCB. The big rocks you see in the photos, they were not there. It was just sand. Unfortunately, it’s the erosion prevention.

It’s been a while since our last family vacation. I mean, the big family including parents and every member of each family. It was fun although it was just a one night vacation because we were here for my sister’s wedding reception.

Thank you Leen for photographing me and Maisarah.

This set was captured on Agfa Vista Plus 400.
