Childhood Friends (Part 2)

c1 c2 c3 c4 c5 c6 c7 c8 c9 c10 c11

This session was a continuation from Childhood Friends (Part 1). I wish I could gather each and everyone of them to be in one session but unfortunately some of them could not make it. These girls were friends since they were in primary school and it’s amazing to see all of them are still together until now. These photographs are the evidence of their friendship.

Langkawi Twenty Thirteen

If I could describe a perfect and blissful holiday, this is it. Everything went smoothly when the weather was super nice. More importantly, I have no trouble carrying my camera wherever I go. Unlike Koh Lipe, it was an unfortunate trip because of the weather condition. Nevertheless, the island was absolutely beautiful.

Langkawi on the other hand, was fabulous.

For photographers: This set was shot on Nikon F6 with Agfa Vista Plus 400.

This was probably one of the most challenging photoshoot I have ever had. It was my first time and I had no idea how to get here. It took me almost 2 hours to get to this location, Pantai Kelanang, Banting. I must thank a few people for making this shoot possible. Zamir and wife, thank you for the time you spent to show me the way and be there till end of the session. To my beloved wife Maisarah, you are my greatest supporter, my backbone. What would I do without you? I can’t thank you enough for what you have done. Nanti I belanja makan sedap-sedap okey.

My heart was telling me it was going to be a good day and it was! It was bright and sunny but only for half an hour. The rest of the session was raining and cloudy. In fact, I had to stop shooting in the middle of the session because the rain was quite heavy. All I could do was protect my cameras underneath my t-shirt. There was no place to hide. Nevertheless, it was a fantastic session.

Khairena, is a personal yoga instructor slash fitness consultant and also founder of eatcleanKL. I must thank Khai for the extraordinary yoga poses you did, time, effort and energy you gave for this session. Ari & Min

Wonderful session with wonderful people. Although it was raining, sky was really dark and I thought well, we might have to postpone this session to another day. Waited for almost an hour and I already gave up. As I was packing up my stuff and ready to leave, suddenly the luck was on my side! Alhamdulillah.

It’s cute as I began to shoot this lovely couple, Min said “Faris, you only click the shutter one time.” I replied, “Well, yes Min because every shot counts.” Min didn’t realize until a few minutes later, “Oh, you’re shooting with film!” Can’t really mess up with film or else you might end up wasting it. I believe it’s a good practice.

Thank you Ari and Min for your time and patience. You guys did a great job!
